i’d say the chances of a sequel might exist, but having a sequel be our next title seems unlikely to me. we have yet to make a sequel in our 9 years of making games. i think we want to explore some more universes before revisiting any previously created ones. we’ve known castle crashers for 6 years now.. crazy to think about!

If there is a castle crashers 2, I would reccomend the following: Revise the combat, make it that less enemies swarm you. Revise the way weapon stats are presented, perhaps an inventory screen or just a way to see the difference between swapping one weapon for another. Apart from that Castle Crashers was excellent.
