But the fact remains that jobs are a central element in the shift toward a cleaner economy, and the Green New Deal’s emphasis on this point serves as another reminder of that. The bigger question moving forward, though, is what types of jobs will be part of this transition?

The answers have been surprising, and the common theme was that green jobs and skills will increasingly be embedded throughout the market. The growth of the green economy means sustainability will be a key part of any job, whether you work in a call centre, a hospital, retail or engineering.
