Any Remington stock can be made for these actions. However, since the bottom metal is not a functioning floorplate and does not fit as well as we would like, we highly recommend that you convert to a blind magazine with a standard ADL­ trigger guard (available from McMillan), which will make the rifle more attractive.

However, because each of these models was equipped from the factory with a 18″ or 20″ barrel, we recommend that you use the Model 7 for the Model 600 since it is the only stock we offer with a short forend. All 600’s must be converted to an ADL trigger guard. Any Remington stock can be inletted for the Model 7 action.

I broke off the bolt handle after shooting excessive loads at a bunch of groundhogs in 98 degree weather. Couldn’t open bolt so I ramed the bolt handle against a tree- it broke off.
