What is a PSC pump?
PSC Pumps are multi-stage centrifugal pumps in three different sizes with closed impellers. They are designed to supply clean water (including without anticorrosion agents), deionized water and emulsions. The use of water-cooled motors enables optimum heat dissipation.

The Big Bore XD steering boxes are assembled in Texas using all-new components.
What is full hydraulic steering?
Hydraulic steering (or what we refer to as full hydro) is different from a standard steering gearbox, or rack-and-pinion, in that there is no mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the actual wheels. Instead of having a steering box it has a steering valve.
Which is better hydraulic or electric power steering?
Electric power steering provides better fuel economy This method reduces the amount of weight in the vehicle. Also, the EPS system doesn’t use power from the engine as the hydraulic systems do. Overall, the electric power steering system is more efficient.
How much does it cost to add power steering to a boat?
The Baystar steering kit retails for about $700 plus installation. Depending on the boat, I would guess $200 +/- for labor. If you can swing it I would recommend going with the Seastar Hydraulic steering system. It is a much more heavy duty product and will likely last much longer.
How do I set up hydro assist steering?
The primary advantage for hydraulic systems over mechanical is lack of torque feedback, making the boat easier and smoother to drive and maneuver. The downside of course is initial cost. Unlike systems of yesteryear, hydraulic steering systems are extremely reliable and nearly maintenance-free.
How does full hydro steering work?
When the steering wheel is moved a valve opens and closes. The valve sends pressurized hydraulic fluid to either end of a hydraulic ram. The ram forces the wheels to turn whichever direction you turned the wheel. Thus the fluid inside the hoses is the only connection between the steering wheel and the steered wheel.
How full should my PSC reservoir be?
The reservoir should be filled to 1″ below the top of the reservoir (see illustration). On single ended cylinder applications this should be measured with the cylinder collapsed.
