I use bore butter all the time, any time I lean my gun I apply it on a dry patch and run it down the barrel. Before I hunt I will run a couple of dry patches down the barrel the remove any that is still in there. I also put it on the out side of my barrel, don’t ask me why I just do. I also use it on my breech plug, during the season.
