5 Posts. #19 · Jan 28, 2010. I was a trim tech at the dealer. you can just grab the edge of the molding and take them right off. As for the double side tape, get a rubber eraser wheel on a grinder and it will take right off. glass cleaner will take off eraser marks.

The last time a used a razor knife and cut the tape close to the molding while pulling back on the molding. As far as the left over tape goes, an eraser wheel takes it right off.

Takng a heat gun to it would help, all that does is it makes the adhesize/moldings come off easier. Once you got them off, you can get some adhesize remover and go at it manually.
