The pony emblem has pins that go through the grill… on the back side of the grill are some one time use clips… and basically you’ll break the pins off try to get the clips off… In my case I just got some 3M double sided tape and used that to hold the pony back on the grill… or you can buy a new emblem… they are fairly inexpensive…

AFAIK, there is no way to remove the pony emblem holder from the front grill, without replacing the entire grill. There are many options to replace the entire grill. The cheapest of those options I’ve seen is those offered by customcargrills.com but be prepared to do some cut/glue work. Many buy an OEM black out pony…like I just did.
